At the 1992 Birmingham Motorshow MG – now part of Rover Group – first introduced the RV8. It was initial conceived as a a test and when the audience was thrilled, MG decided to build a small series. Superimposed on the magnificent concept of the 1995 MG-F with its four-cylinder mid-engine, a small sporty roadster was built. It was targeted against the Fiat Barchetta and the Mazda MX-5. The engine power of the lightweight roadster provides plenty of driving pleasure and remains an insider tip to this day. Only 1,900 roadsters were built. The interior was designed with great attention to detail, especially in our car.
Initially delivered to Japan the car was imported back to Great Britain and elaborately converted to left-hand drive for an Italian customer. There are only about 15 copies with this specific conversion. The mileage is only about 51,500 km and it is approved in Germany with cat. This MG RV8 offers great driving performance in absolute understatement and is a collectable classic with everyday qualities.
