With the W 108 series Mercedes-Benz launched the modern era of the upper middle class in car manufacturing. Visually very different from its predecessor series W 111 with its distinctive tail fin, the starter model 250 S had a representative and elegant body but the technical changes were limited: the vehicle body platform remained, the rear hinged swing axle got its last use, the M 180 engine’s well known capacity was expanded to 2,5 liter by drilling and stroke extension. Truly new were only the four standard disk brakes. If you wanted you could get the 250 SE with fuel injection feature for an extra 1,500 DM, you could do so starting in August 1965.
Our Mercedes-Benz 250 SE Limousine is the typical company car for the executive ranks. Its first owner was a textile manufacturer in Göppingen. Today the oldtimer is with its 5th owner, in very good condition and registered in Germany. This classic limousine perfectly conveys the luxury of the 1960s.
