In the 1950s Sir William Lyons, the Co-Founder of Jaguar (aka “Mr Jaguar”) was obsessed with winning Le Mans so Jaguar created the model C-Type race car. As planned, Jaguar won Le Mans in 1951 and 1953. Its direct successor was the model D-Type which won Le Mans even three times. For the general public, Jaguar developed the sports car Jaguar XK SS in small series, using D-Type components. To this day, it is a tradition in the UK to refurbish special race cars with Jaguar components so that customers can enjoy the fun of a “driving machine” not on the race track but on the road!
Our Jaguar model D-Type Replica was built in 1974 by RAM L.R. Roadster as a high end, very detail oriented model. This road sports car is already an classic and it will be the center of attention at any historic car event!
