The year 1983 didn’t bring any significant changes for Porsche, aside from the 911 Convertible sensation! Finally, 18 years after production of the 356 Covertible ended, a new convertible was introduced! The Porsche community was ecstatic and quickly demand surpassed that of the Targa. The new convertible of the first production year was purist. The hood could easily be handled manually and its clever design provided sufficient support when closed.
Our Porsche 911 SC 3.0 Cabriolet was delivered in the US and its “title” is from Texas. An oldtimer body shop in Northern Germany purchased the car for restoration with approx. 100,000 miles. Everything was dismantled and re-assembled. Now, this classic clocks 161 kilometers and is as new. It just needs to get on the road!
