The Roadsters from the W113 series got the nickname “Pagoda” given their unusually shaped hard tops. Its “masculine” design made it stand out from previous models. It was built in several models: 230 SL, 250 SL, and 280 SL and its primary market was the US, especially California. This makes the European and German models particularly desirable today.
Our 280 SL Pagoda is a German model and its owner bought the car from the President of the regional Pagoda-Club. In 2011/2012 the car was thoroughly restored incl. all metal parts, underbody and paint. An assessment by Classic Analytics rated the car at a 2. Its very compelling color combination adds to this car’s appeal.
