Initially, the series W 143 was introduced as a special edition of the model 200 with long wheelbase. Starting in May 1936 the engine with 2.3 liter cubic capacity and 55 PS was available for an additional RM 175.00. This vehicle completely replaced the model with 2 liter engines. The model 230 was simply the more well rounded car. It became Mercedes’ second most produced car until 1945, right after the model 170.
Our Mercedes-Benz 230 Cabriolet B was in Norway between 1945 and 1986 and was then completely disassembled and rebuilt. Since 2002 it has been with its current owner, a collector, is registered in Germany and has a classic data certificate. This classic has been proven on several excursions and its elegance and construction / condition stand out. If you take this beauty on the road, you will experience why it was already very popular in the 1930s!
