When the limousines from the Mercedes W 111 series came to market in August 1959, they made the “Pontoon-Coupés” of its successor series look antiquated. But starting in February 1961, in honor of the reopening of the Daimler-Benz Museum, the new Coupés 220 SE b (W 111) were introduced. To this day, this elegant Coupé is considered a particularly beautiful model, developed under the leadership of Chief Developer Karl Wilfert and the genius designer Paul Bracq. These cars were an instant hit, despite their steep price tag of DM 23,500 (compared to DM 14,950 for a 220 SE limousine).

Our Mercedes-Benz 220 SE b Coupé has been registered in Norway since 1964 and has been with its current owner since 2014. The classic has only light signs of wear and tear and the body was completely overhauled a few years ago. This Mercedes Coupé is an ideal oldtimer for any excursion – it’s simply classic, beautiful and attractively priced!
