Daimler-Benz’s post war production started with the 170 V. Luckily, all the tools for its construction were still available. But it quickly became clear that soon larger and more representative models would follow. So at the Frankfurt International Motor Show in 1951 the brand new Mercedes 220 with 6-cylinder engine was introduced. It’s combination of high performance modern engines with a conservativ and high quality body was an instant hit with customers. The classic “Manager Car” was born! Custom models were finally available again, like the Cabriolet A. At a price of DM 18,860 the convertible two-seater was very expensive but that didn’t dampen the demand.
Our Mercedes-Benz 220 Cabriolet A has a gigantic personality! Its color combination of black-green with leather in English red is extremely tasteful. This classic was completely restored a few years ago and has been driven very little by its current owner. So now it’s time to put this Oldtimer back on the road!!
