In 1946 Daimler-Benz resumed its production of cars with the 170 V. It was followed by the 170 S and a new term was coined: “peace quality”. Even so, its basic construction was from the 1930s. In the fall of 1953 Mercedes-Benz presented a new line with the modern pontoon construction, the model 180. This led to an entire car family with four- and six-cylinder engines with gas and diesel drives. The Pontoon-Mercedes became the fact of Mercedes in the 1950s.
Our Mercedes-Benz 180 b Limousine was registered in Germany on May 4, 1961 and stayed with the family of the first owner until 2005. What’s most special about this car is its original state and matching numbers. Its mileage is approx. 105,500 kilometers. Its paint is mostly original, its interior is completely original. Another special feature is the original suitcase set. And yet, there are some signs of use but no action needed aside from the usual care. The brake system was overhauled, the tires are new, exhaust and engine newly set. You will be surprised about how reliably and well this Mercedes classic drives!
