In Tokyo, BMW showed the Z 07 sports car study. The response on the world’s luxury markets was enormous and so in 1999 the Z8 was up for sale. It is an aesthetic nod to the great BMW 507 Roadster of the 1950s, created by Graf Goertz at the time. With the Z8 and its 400 hp and six-speed gearbox, BMW made a much-noticed announcement in 1999. Since the American market required an automatic version, Alpina was commissioned to develop this variant. Today the Z8 Alpina is particularly sought after, because there were only 555 copies.
This BMW Z8 Alpina Roadster was delivered in the USA in 2003. Since 2010 it has been in German hands and has been “Europeanized”. The mileage is only about 79,000 km. It is registered and has already been used on some wonderful holiday trips.
