In the 1950s, BMW purchased a licence from the Italian company Iso to build a microcar. Equipped with a single-cylinder air-cooled motorcycle engine, this marked the birth of the BMW Isetta 250. After swinging the front door to the side to get in, it offered space for two people. The ‘snogging bubble’, as it was popularly known, was manoeuvrable, fit everywhere and offered adequate weather protection. BMW built more than 160,000 of them, which was important for the manufacturer’s survival.

Our BMW Isetta 250 Motocoupé in the Bavarian colours of blue and white has been completely overhauled. It is the 245 cc single-cylinder engine version. 9 kW or 12 hp is enough to reach a top speed of 85 km/h. The BMW Isetta is simply a lovable vehicle.
