No other than the small manufactory Officine Alfieri Maserati was brave enough in 1963 to put a full-blood sports engine into a luxury limousine. The engine, a V8 with 4.2 liter capacity, came from the race car 450 S and the legendary sports car 5000 GT. That’s how the Maserati Quattroporte became the fastest 4-door limousine of its time with a body designed by Pietro Frua. Its low key shape was geared towards the lovers of “understatements” who wanted to set themselves apart from the masses. Only 776 of the Quattroporte I were built, all mostly handmade.
Our Maserati Quattroporte was delivered to Dr. Ferrarini in Mantua, Italy. Until 2016 the luxury limousine had 4 Italian owners. Then the gorgeous oldtimer was restored, led by Carozzeria Scartapatti in Mantau. With only 15,000 kilometres driven after the restoration, this classic is basically new!
