The original ancestor of the long MG sports car series is the MG J2, built in 1932. This speedy roadster defined what an English sports car had to look like. The models TA, TC and TD followed. The US became a huge market for MG classics but it also created dependency on US customers. So the TD was modernized but the trick was to hide its modern technology and larger measurements.
Our restored MG TD has been with its current owner since 2016 and is registered in Germany. An appraisal confirms its very good condition. Just recently the classic underwent a comprehensive service at a specialized body shop. Judging by the documents from its first owner, e.g. a handwritten “resume” we can learn that the car was based in California. Its owner had a lot of fun with the British roadster for many years. There are also before and after photos of the restoration and the results are impressive.
