William Lyons insisted on presenting the new Jaguar E-Type in March 1961 at the Geneva Motor Show himself. It was a personal triumph. People remembered the presentation of the Jaguar XK 120 in the year 1948. The E-Type was a sensation, it became the landmark for Jaguar. Continuous improvement kept making it better still. The series 1 1/2 was easily recognizable by the unclamped headlights.
Our Jaguar E-Type Series 1 1/2 Roadster was delivered in the US and later converted in Germany to the European variant with 3 carburettors, though the dashboard is still reading miles. The classic car brings pure driving pleasure. The interior is largely original and of high quality.
