At the Auto Salon in Turin in 1960 Fiat presented its “big coup”, the elegant Coupé 2300, for the first time. The media hat this to say: Dignified technology, but a delightful body by Ghia. The three-part rear window, not unlike a panorama window, was its highlight. The 6-cylinder engine got to 105 or 131 PS with a visually unchanged Coupé 2300 S.
Our Fiat Coupé 2300 S was first registered in Heilbronn/Germany June 9, 1964 and remained there until 2003, with a second owner since 1999. Until 2013 the car was driven by a third owner in Soest/Germany and has since been with its current owner. Between 1995 and 1999, the family of the first owner undertook a complete restoration. All service receipts are available, amounting to a total of approx. € 23,000 including an expensive cylinder head overhaul in 2020. The tires are dated from 2013 but the triangular steering gear in the front and the stabilizer jacks would benefit from an update. This rare classic is a travel Coupé which will turn heads with its sporty yet elegant color combination.
