In 1950 a new Alfa Romeo with a 4-cylinder engine was introduced. This model 1900 was the first to be designed for large scale production. Continuous development and diversification of the program led to a variety of models. The DOHC engine turned out to be a once in a century construction. With the special edition “Sprint Speciale Carozzeria Bertone”, a particularly aerodynamic Coupe was created with an ambitious maximum speed of 200 km/h. This was remarkable for a model with 4 cylinders and 1,300 ccm capacity. Today, this classic is a true rarity and a collector car!
