At the Paris Fall Salon 1951 Mercedes-Benz presented the model 300 S from the W 188 series as convertible, roadster and coupé and car lovers were thrilled! The convertible version of the 300 S was considered one of the most beautiful cars and it was Mercedes-Benz’s way to continue the tradition of the world famous compressor cars. With a maximum speed of 175 km/h and an acceleration from 0 – 100 km/h in 15 seconds, this model left even the Porsche 356 1300 Super in the dust.

Our Mercedes-Benz 300 S Cabriolet, one of only 203 cars of this model, left the factory on December 22, 1953 and was moved on the road to the Daimler-Benz dealership in Kassel/Germany. Its first owner was Fa. Ilse, a furniture manufacturer in Uslar/Germany. This classic is in excellent condition, has never left Germany and is currently with its 5th owner.

Mercedes-Benz 170 Da OTP

Mercedes-Benz’s Series 170 was always also available as a government model and a 170 OTP (Open Tourer Police) wasn’t cheap at DM 10,650. That was a lot of money for a small series with only 530 vehicles which could not be sold to the general public. Only much later, when the series was retired from government service, did some of them get acquired by private customers.

Our Mercedes-Benz 170 Da OTP has been with its current owner since 1969. The oldtimer has been thoroughly restored and regularly driven. This rear tourer sports a very elegant look in dark blue with black fenders.

Mercedes-Benz 300 SL

At the end of the long construction period of the Mercedes 107 Roadster, the quality was excellent. After the last revision at the end of 1985, this series was exemplary in comfort, safety technology and workmanship. Sure, the V8 versions were a bit stronger and more powerful, but the agile and economical six-cylinder inline engine was a perfect match for this roadster. Then as now – often the first choice.

This Mercedes 300 SL was first registered in Germany in 1986. The classic is healthy, especially since it received a revised engine in exchange in autumn 2020. A service booklet and numerous invoices from the last few years prove that this SL was driven and maintained. The powerful engine runs quietly, the automatic shifts smoothly and the Mercedes drives tight. Who will take care of this well-equipped icon?

The Mercedes-Benz SL, W 113 series, colloquially called “Pagoda” due to the shape of its hard top, was quite successful. From July 1963 until March 1971 48,912 cars of this model were built. This modern roadster could be special ordered as an automatic with air conditioning. The most sought after version today is the 280 SL automatic.

Our 280 SL is exactly this model! It was registered in the US in January 1971 and had a title from Honolulu. It has been with its current owner since 2015 and we have receipts since then from an oldtimer body shop in Hamburg/Germany. The car is registered in Germany.

Mercedes-Benz CLK 280

In addition to the C-class saloon, Mercedes added the modern Coupe to its offering in 1997. As is typical for Coupés, buyers were willing to pay a higher price for less room but its individuality has always been attractive. Finally in 1998 the Cabriolet was added: stunningly beautiful, harmonious and a worthy successor to the Cabriolet series 124, albeit significantly smaller.

Our Mercedes-Benz CLK 280 Cabriolet was built after the “face lift”, i.e. its from the “new” model series. It was released in Germany. The car has a full service history and received a major technical service at 77,000 km. The Cabriolet presents with high quality and elegant character and reliable performance at 230 PS, in short, a valuable car with high fun factor!

Mercedes-Benz 280 SL

To create an open sports car successor for the famous 300 SL and the very successful 190 SL was a challenging task. So when the brand new 230 SL arrived in 1963 the reviews were mixed. The modern Roadster was certainly an excellent backfill for the 190 SL but not the 300 SL. Six-cylinder engine, power steering, disk brakes and automatic transmission on demand are all technical details that are valid today.

Our Mercedes-Benz 280 SL from the last series was delivered in 1969 by the Daimler-Benz dealership in Frankfurt/Germany. The classic sports car is with its 3rd owner today. Its papers are complete and available and its mileage of 145,000 kms is confirmed through service certificates. This Roadster has never been restored but certainly repaired, e.g. the fenders were replaced and painted in its original color. Additionally, the car received body-cavity sealing. This classic is a German vehicle in best shape for use which is a rarity.

Mercedes-Benz 170 S

In 1949 Daimler-Benz introduced the Mercedes 170 S (S = special class) at the Paris Auto Salon. Compared to the only other post war car, the 170 V this was a big improvement. The industry media was enthusiastic about its “peace like” construction and finish. The separate chassis allowed for special body styles so the four-door Cabriolet B and the stunningly beautiful Cabriolet A were created.

Our classic Mercedes-Benz 170 S Cabriolet A was delivered to Casablanca (French Morocco at the time), according to its factory certificates. Its color and interior were exactly like today. Later, the car went to Maryland, USA and came back to Germany in 1990. Its current owner treated the car with a “frame off” restoration aiming to restore its factory delivery state. Since 2007 this historic Mercedes is back on the road and is just an effortless joy to drive. It is one of the best we ever offered.

Excellent Convertible A, one of the best!

Mercedes-Benz 220 S

With the Ponton-Limousine 220 a with the 6-cylinder engine, Daimler-Benz was finally able again to offer a modern car for the upper middle class. However, the convertibles in the W 187 series looked fairly conservative and it took until July 1956 until a convertible for the series W 180 was developed. Its integral body made the development of this special body type more difficult. This dream car, named 220 S Cabriolet, was stunningly beautiful, of highest quality and mostly handmade. Its features made the new convertible an instant classic.

Our Mercedes-Benz 220 S Cabriolet is registered in Germany. It was completely restored and is as good as new. It comes with a current evaluation of 1-. The original license certificate (“Certificat d’immatriculation”) shows that the car was initially registered in France. It’s a delight to see this convertible and it’s instant driving fun!

Mercedes-Benz 220 SE b

The reopening of the Daimler-Benz Factory Museum in February 1961 was the perfect moment to present the new coupés and convertibles in the W 111 series. The media was impressed and applauded the high quality and manufacturing detail of the new series.To this day, the W 111 series coupés and convertibles are considered to be very successful.

Our Mercedes-Benz 220 SE b Convertible was delivered in December 1964 by the dealership in Duisburg/Germany. Since 1981 the classic has been owned by the current owner who at one point had the car licensed in Switzerland. Before 1981 the car had suffered engine failure on a trip to Italy. At the time it received a replaced engine from the MB 230 S with 2 carburetors and 120 PS, so almost a perfect fit. This aggregate has been delivering great service to this day! In 1982 the car received a complete overhaul by Zeilinger Karroseriebau in Munich/Germany. Since 2004 the classi car has been registered in Germany again and is enjoying best care and the occasional outing. Its design combines a moss green metallic exterior with a cognac colored leather interior – perfection!
