Jaguar E-Type Series 1 3.8

The Jaguar E-Type was Sir William Lyons’ second sensation after the famous XK series. The new E Type offered perfect and modern design, racing technology for the road and was affordable. Its top speed was higher than 220 kilometers an hour. So the Jaguar E Type was an icon from beginning on. The early cars (Flat Floor) were very tight. This offered coupé has already the lowered floor to give a little more space, but it still has the 3.8-litre engine and the clarity and beautiful designed interior with the small toggle switches and the wonderful aluminum center console. In the beginning about 50% of E-Type production were coupés.

This Jaguar E-Type FHC was delivered to the USA in 1963. The coupé has been extensively restored a few years ago and is still in a very nice condition. Today it is registered in Germany as an historic vehicle. Because of the extensive restoration this Jaguar impresses with great driving characteristics and performance. This super sports car is still in very nice condition with only very minimal marks of the rare use since restoration. Get this cat out for your next journey.

Porsche 911 2.0 SWB

At Porsche, the ever-growing thirst for performance was to be satisfied with a newly developed six-cylinder engine. The new body design kept it recognizable, but offered significantly more space than the predecessor 356. The 1963 ‘master model’ was built with some detail changes until mid-1973. The early 911s with a short wheelbase (SWB = short wheel base) built until mid-1968 are today particularly rare and sought after.

Our Coupe is from the model year 1967 and is thus one of these early original vehicles. It was originally delivered to the USA. The colour scheme and the artificial leather finish correspond to the delivery condition. This 911 is restored, but still offers a high level of original substance. The engine was completely rebuilt at a Hamburg specialty company and also the Weber carburetors were subjected to a thorough renovation. Enjoy this original and ready to use iconic sports car.

Mercedes-Benz 280 SL

The new 230 SL sports car, quickly named “Pagoda” because of the shape of its hardtop, was a multi-talented car. It easily replaced the predecessor 190 SL. But it wasn’t a successor to the famous 300 SL. There was still a gap. The new SL should be a sports two-seater with high performance, optimal handling and high ride comfort. That’s exactly what this car was able to do. Thus the cars from the 250 SL to the 280 SL became the success story of the series. With this model development, Mercedes also implemented the automatic transmission on a broad basis.

Our Mercedes-Benz 280 SL Roadster was originally delivered in the US and has been based in Germany since 1990. The Kienle company completely restored it in 2004, which is documented in detail. The “pagoda” was a highlight in a collection of classic vehicles, driven only a few miles, and maintained well. This car is not any car of the series but fulfills even the highest of expectations.
